The whole idea for the ‘Hauntings’ section of the website is to help Ghost Hunters, and paranormal Investigators find a place to do their thing, and give them a basic idea of what they are gonna have to deal with when they get there. A lot of places are time consuming and annoying to research, only to find out that the place is boring, and pointless to investigate.

This isn’t going to be perfect. I’ve never even been to MOST of these places. A lot of them have been told to me via our ‘Report A Haunting Form’, and through other second hand information. After that, I take the information given to me, and do my own research, mostly on the Internet, and I compile my report. If possible, I’ll try to get in touch with investigators, and hunters in the area of the location to try to get some FIRST HAND information about the place.

The Rating System
There ARE websites that tell you about many allegedly haunted locations. In my opinion, they do it in a very half assed way. VERY little information is given to potential ghost hunters or investigators. With this rating system, the plan is to break the whole thing down for you to give you an idea if the location is worth your time.

The rating system is designed to do just that. As an investigator, I tried to think of a few questions that come to mind when someone tells me about a place that they think is haunted.

What happened there? What’s the story?

Have people actually seen, or experienced spooky things there?

Is it a place that we can legally get into without getting shot?

Do other ghost hunters, or have other investigators checked this place out? How often?

If they HAVE checked this place out, what do the serious, hard lined investigators say about it?

What about more casual ghost hunters? Did THEY find something of value?

Those questions are what the rating system is based on. The ratings start out at 1, being the worst, and they count on up!

Well, it’s one more, isn’t it? It’s not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be rating at ten. You’re on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you’re on ten on your rating. Where can you go from there? Where?
